One session per player per night
Up to 8 sessions total across the program
Register for as few or as many nights as you want, up to $80 for the full run
Take one night, or lock in all eight and make it your pre-season routine.
Keep in mind, if your player is participating in the Fall Skills and Drills in the high school main gym, some dates overlap:
9/21, 9/23, 9/28, 9/30
Program Highlights:
Dedicated 30-Minute Blocks: Your player gets his own time on the machine, not a spot in a line.
State-of-the-Art Dr. Dish Machines: The ball comes back at game speed from the spots he chooses, so he is catching, squaring up, and shooting instead of chasing rebounds.
Hundreds of Quality Reps: Players get in the time it usually takes to get a few dozen.
Shot Tracking: Onboard stats show makes, attempts, and shooting percentage by zone, so he can see exactly where his shot is falling and where it needs work.
Expert Coaching: Coaches are on the floor throughout the night for real feedback on footwork, hand placement, balance, and follow-through.
Limited Spots: Each time slot is capped so players get individual attention.
2026 Program Schedule:
Dates: Eight evenings, Monday through Thursday over two weeks.
Week of September 21: Monday 9/21, Tuesday 9/22, Wednesday 9/23, Thursday 9/24
Week of September 28: Monday 9/28, Tuesday 9/29, Wednesday 9/30, Thursday 10/1
Time: Each player gets one 30-minute time slot between 6:00 and 9:00 PM, not the full three hours. Younger players are generally scheduled earlier in the evening.
Location: Shakopee High School Fieldhouse
Who Can Register: Open to boys in grades 6-8 preparing for the 2026-27 travel basketball season.
Parents: Please Plan to Stay and Help Rebound
This one matters, so please read it. If you drop your player off, we need you to stay in the gym and help rebound. The Dr. Dish returns most shots on its own, but it cannot chase down every miss, and the balls that get away are what slow a session down.
Last year, a small group of volunteers covered all of that rebounding, and it was a real strain on the few people onsite. When a parent from each group grabs the loose balls, every player gets more shots up in his 30 minutes. It is the single easiest thing you can do to make the night better for your kid and everyone else's.
You do not need to coach, and you do not need any basketball background. Just be in the gym and help keep the balls moving.
Setup and Takedown Is Covered
Board members handle setting up and tearing down the shooting machines each night. That part is taken care of, so all we are asking parents for is rebounding help during the session.
How to Register:
Click the register button under the program on this page and select the nights you want. Spots in each time slot are limited and tend to go quickly, so register early to get the nights that fit your schedule.
